Employee Assistance Plans
- Category: Resource Library
Employee Assistance Plan services can assist employees and their families to address confidential problems and seek practical solutions to personal and professional issues —many times before problems affect job performance.
Employee Assistance Plan services are available across Canada and usually include:
- 24/7 telephone access to bilingual expert counsellors through a toll-free line;
- In-person counselling during the day, evening and on weekends;
- Telephonic counselling sessions with qualified counsellors;
- Online assistance;
- Management consultations;
- A network of community resources; and
- On-site support for crisis situations and critical incident stress management.
Many of the Employee Assistance Plans provide a confidential site for employees and their dependant where they can get access to contract and plan detail information, and on-line access to councillors.
