Medical Cannabis- What do you know?

Medical cannabis will have an impact on almost every business.  What do you understand about it?

Medical cannabis is another therapeutic option for a specific sub-populations of patients who have failed
previous therapies; but is currently not the first line treatment for any condition.

The human body already already contains cannabinoid receptors called the Human Endocannabinoid System.  The Human Endocannabinoid System impacts physiological processes affecting pain modulation, memory, appetite and anti-inflammatory effects and other immune system responses.  CDB, CBN and THC fit like a lock and key into these existing human receptors.

There is scientific data to support that as a 2nd line treatment, medical cannabis can be very therapeutic and beneficial to a patient.  It is currently being used to help cancer patients, individuals with chronic pain and epilepsy just to name a few.

There are some situations however where it is not recommended.  Every individual will react differently to medical cannabis, so it is very important the right steps are taken to prescribe the correct mix of CBD and THC, because one dose for one person may have a completely  different affect than the same dose or mixture for another.

Where medical cannabis works for a large number of people, there can be just as many people where it does not.  One should not assume medical cannabis will work for everyone, because like finger prints, everyone’s Cannabinoid System and its ability to receive and metabolize cannabis is different.
